Voxatron a voxelbased arena shooter thats completely destructible

first_imgIndie games have the opportunity to offer up an experience that is both fun and different to the big commercial games that get forced down out throats. The latest game from Lexaloffle Games is a perfect example of this, combining an arena shooter with a completely destructible environment made out of voxels. The game is called Voxatron, and is described as follows by the the main man behind Lexloffle, Joseph White:Voxatron is an arena shooter that takes place in a world made of voxels (little cubes, kind of). Everything in the game is displayed in a virtual 128x128x64 voxel display, including the menus and player inventory. If you look closely, you can sometimes see the inventory (score/life/ammo) casting a shadow on some of the objects on the ground. He also describes it as “Robotron set in a 3d destructible world.”However you view the preview video, it looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun to play. Voxatron will be available to buy later this year, but a demo will be made available too. We can’t wait.Read more at Lexaloffle Gameslast_img read more
